We get our Cars serviced, don’t we? We get our Air conditioning and Gas appliances serviced, but what about our Barbecues?
They are Gas (or most of them are) so why don’t we get them serviced? Ross started Barbitec over 20 years ago as no-one in WA serviced Barbecues and yet they were a more expensive commodity to buy than say an indoor gas space heater, is it because they are outside, who knows? He was one of the first in Australia, if not the first in WA to recognize that there was no-one that specifically serviced and repaired BBQ’s and yes, he still does it!!
Most of our Barbecue Service Directory members service and repair Barbeques. They know how to, what to do, and are really good at it.
Some Gas plumbers, steer well clear of BBQ’s. A Barbecue can be quite simple to fix or quite complicated, take time and you do need to know what you are doing. Our BBQ Alliance members know what they are doing and specifically say that on their websites they would not be in the directory if Ross didn’t think they should be.
Why would you get a plumber to come out, charge you a call out to hear he does not know how to fix it? Isn’t it better to get a 5 Star bbq business to tell you that it can’t be fixed due to its age as no parts are available? OR that its able to be repaired because we know where we can get parts?
Do you know that you can spend from $200 to over $8000 on a BBQ, sometimes more and yet do you consider getting it serviced once every couple of years? This may well be a ‘preventative’ service but if you think that say $200* per two years may make your bbq last 10 to 15 years its well spent ($1400 in my calculations)
A thought..have you ever built an alfresco area that has a lovely marble top but the bbq has packed up, cannot be repaired and you need to get a new one? Ooops, but the new ones don’t fit…aaarghh!
*This may vary depending on the BBQ, spare parts and time taken to service and repair it.
